Björk Switches On Some Dub in Her Step

Bjork - "Nattura (Switch Remix)"

Who would of thought to put Bjork alongside the heavy grime bass of dubstep? Only the innovative mind of producer/musician, Switch aka Dave Taylor. He makes up half of the colossal duo, Major Lazer, which features Diplo, a person we all know and love. Now that alone tells you he is on the forefront of any music genre he chooses to touch.

Björk has always been outspoken, unique, and with a style all her own. She put a face behind the unusual house and techno sounds that were thrown at every listener in her first album. Who knew what to "accept' at that point, but her sound still was new, different, and much needed. This dubbed-out twisted, Switch remix, of Björk is just what the doctor ordered (linkabove). The original song, "Náttúra" has been out since mid-October, and the proceeds from the sale of the track go toward funding the, Náttúra campaign to support Icelandic environmental causes. Switch once again proves he is a true pioneer and one of the most in demand remixers of the year. His current remixography reads like a who’s who of the dance world taking in anyone and everyone from Busta Rhymes, Basement Jaxx, and the Chemical Brothers through to Blaze, Roy Davis Jr and Armand Van Helden. Not to mention he is becoming one of the best producers of our time.
