Love Is A Drug

Alex Fitts and Matt Penttila, collectively known as The Kickdrums, are an unparralell duo that continuously keep it coming hard. Since exploding on the scene with 50, The Kickdrums have provided production for Chamillionaire, Young Joc, Scarface, Papoose, Talib Kweli, Little Brother, and others. Their song "Love Is A Drug" features soothing drums and a gruesomely symphonic melody, and the production was sonically "dirty"— gritty with almost imperceptible recording flaws. Now its been remixed by allstar Dallas DJ's, Left/Right.

"I remember when i first heard “Love Is A Drug” and wondering what it was. I knew of The Kickdrums production, but somehow, there was someone singing on the song. Then “Just A Game” dropped and it’s definitely one of the freshest songs I’ve heard in a while. While the vibe of this DJ Left/Right remix is the complete opposite of that, you can hear the ease in which they coast through different genres." - KiD CuDi

Iron Like a Lion in Zion

Just in time for Mother's Day, Ziggy Marley, the eldest son of zion legend Bob Marley, pays tribute to maybe the most famous name in music with his first kids' album, Family Time. Which was released on Marley's independent Tuff Gong Worldwide label. Marley produced the album with legendary producer Don Was, known for his Grammy Award winning work with such artists as Bonnie Raitt, as well as with his own hit-making group, Was (Not Was).

If you're not too familiar with Ziggy's music, the children surely are. Ziggy has contributed to a variety of children's programming including Nick Jr.'s, Dora the Explorer, the PBS show, Arthur, and the animated film Shark Tale, in which he played the character of "Bernie" the Jamaican jellyfish.

Ziggy Marley makes a childrens album

"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM, I LOVE YOU" "Growing up music was an important part of my childhood," Marley says. "I see it being just as important in my children and all children growth and development. Music helps children to grow with open minds and open hearts and this is my message. This record represents my daily family life and is inspired by my three-year-old daughter Judah and baby Gideon. It was a joy to make and opened up new avenues in my creativity. Family Time is for all families and especially the world family."

Instantly winning, the music is rich with reggae rhythms and melodies you and your children will be singing together with joy, much as Mr. Marley and his little daughter do on the title track. With original songs newly-composed by Marley himself, the album features a variety of family and friends as guests including Rita Marley (Ziggy s mother), Cedella Marley (sister), Judah Marley (daughter), Paul Simon, Jack Johnson, Willie Nelson, Toots Hibbert (of Toots and the Maytals), Elizabeth Mitchell, Laurie Berkner, Paula Fuga and two stories narrated by Jamie Lee Curtis. He also re-recorded his father's "Three Little Birds" with Sean Paul and his brother Stephen Marley for the soundtrack.

Little Big Planet

Due to the fact I can't read Spanish, I don't know much about the Danteneverdies Gamerblog. All I can say is they are a pretty crafty bunch, mashing up their video game characters alongside great electronic tunes....

The first video that caught my eye was "Little Daft Punk"

The second is titled "MTBig Planet"

If you didn't enjoy either of those, may God help you... Read more
