You Really Want Me Do My Job?

This Is Glorious...When the news broke yesterday that the Supreme Court had issued a stay, temporarily delaying the sale of Chrysler to Fiat, Fox Business Network (FBN) wanted to tell you about it, but they just didn't know what to say. Liz Claman was anchoring the 3-4pm hour when a producer told her what had happened. (My guess is she's talking to him or her when she says "define that please.")

Claman then proceeded to toss to not one but two other FBN reporters who had no idea what to say. The first, Tracey Byrnes, responded with, "I think you want...Robert." Robert Gray was not who she wanted, at least in retrospect, as he had no knowledge of the situation either. In all fairness, I doubt this is the fault of the on-air talent. It sounds like a control room breakdown, in that none of the FBN producers could tell any of them what was going on or who had what information.

Heartbreak Scorsese

Some Words from Snob Scrilla on his track "Heartbreak Scorsese:

"Heartbreak Scorsese is cut from Snob Scrilla's debut long player 'Day One'.

If you were at any of the festival shows Snob and the band played at the end of 08, you would have heard it, you would have screamed along to the chorus, and now for your ultimate viewing pleasure - check out the super rad video clip.

"Heartbreak Scorsese is a track that I debated putting on because it talks about some of the things Ive done that I'm not proud of. The track is about the consistent theme in my life of hurting all of the women who have ever loved me. In a way it's kind of bittersweet because I got to a point where I could accept it and live with that...but accepting it also meant that to a degree I was doomed. "

"Chicago based Dj’s Young Live & DJ Mop Top have branched out to bring together a project including todays emerging artists from a range of genres. This is The Starters first original release and guess whos bringing it to you? We are. This official remix album contains takes on Lady Sovereign, Kid Sister, Hey Champ and Chester French amongst others. Inspired and driven by the mix of hip hop, dance and electronic club sounds that really colors The Starters remixes, this album really shows what they are all about.

The mixture on ‘The Flavor’ is wide but The Starters manage to color every single one of these tracks with their quite unique sound, every track as good as the last one but with their own style. There is something for everybody packed up in this. Bringin' It Back Ya'll

Beat Electric apparently has been keeping the boogie funk alive in San Fran. To show you just what I mean check it...

"In the last several years we have seen the San Francisco boogie-funk scene grow exponentially thanks in small part to Beat Electric but most of the credit is due to the excellent weekly Sweater Funk party at Li Po Lounge. That being said, many of the tracks on Night Shit 2 (including an edit by our very own LeBaron) have been covered on Beat Electric at some point and we take that as quite a compliment. Enjoy this exclusive mix by two of SF's best Disc Jockey's, Proof and Renmin, both members of the extended Sweater Funk crew."

NIGHT SHIFT II is a choice mix of early 80's funk and soulful boogie flavormixed and compiled by PROOF & RENMIN. BOPPER'S GET READY, WE DON'T DIE WE MULTIPLY! Shout out to all the fellas and ladies who were up until 5:30am EST rocking with the one and only Felix Da Housecat live on Justin TV. He played music for 8.5 hours last night keepin' real for the BOOPERS.
