Condolences to Trey & Family

My thoughts and prayers go out to Trey Anastasio of Phish, family, and friends. Yesterday afternoon, Kristy Manning, Trey's sister, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. She was one of Phish's first fans and biggest supporters. In recent years, Kristy helped form and lead Trey's non-profit endeavor, The Seven Below Arts Initiative.

Kristy was a loving sister, mother, daughter, friend, and a role model for all. Her positive attitude, strength of character and continued outpouring of love and support left a profound impact on everyone she knew.

Shaq To Guest Referee Game 1 Of Eastern Conference Championship

By now "She Loves Everybody" by Chester French, has seen way too much airtime, but I appreciate the fresh sound these guys from Boston bring to the table. They are a class act, doing there own thing, and that deserves respect in itself. Too many artists these days sound the same. Chester French, the two fellas out of Cambridge, MA have been making a name for themselves. The young dynamic duo of, D.A. Wallach and Max Drummey are signed to Pharrell’s label, Star Trak/Interscope,. Currently they are touring all over the place with Pharrell’s band, N.E.R.D and Common, among others. Chester French teamed up with globally renowned DJ, producer, innovator, Clinton Sparks, on a star-studded mixtape called, Get Familiar with Chester French: Jaques Jams Vol. 1: Endurance, free for download. Endurance is a collection of original tracks, all written, arranged, produced, and engineered by the duo.

The group has acquired a growing celebrity buzz since Love The Future was recorded, so the new Jacques Jams raises the bar, with guest artists like Diddy, Jermaine Dupri, Pharrell, Monáe, Bun B, Talib Kweli , The Clipse, Lady Gaga, and more. Passion Pit - The Reeling

I'm always looking for artists who habitually cross lines and get my blood flowing. I have to thank SPZSHIP for this one...Passion Pit, "The Reeling". Music videos always have been a way for artists to captivate their audience and express sound visually. "The Reeling", nail's it, morphing pulsing synthesizers and keys into a picturesque harmony. I'm sick of the champagne, clouds of money, and gangster grillz we see far too much, so thank you Passion Pit. I first heard these cats on "Sleepyhead (Streetlab Mix)" from the Streetlab Remixes '08 album, finding myself continuously playing the track.

Passion Pit brings an euphoric and blissfully melancholic electro feel out of Cambridge, Massachusetts. They released Chunk of Change EP, in the fall of 2008. However, it was just a tease featuring a few songs. Be on the look out for their debut full length album, Manners, to drop May 19th (U.S.), on French Kiss Records.

Paul Devro, made this "Albino Ndebele Bellybutton Mix" on Pacemaker. The Mad Decent artist obviously knows what it is right now, blowing your mind and making you stomp your feet to this one. Using a tool that was given to him in India when there were no Cd’s to DJ from, he absolutely kills it.

"This thing is sick, you can do all the loop stuff like on cd players and the volume goes to 11! It’s like a dj ipod on future steroids.
