By the looks of these images by photographer Lisa Jack, taken way back in the day when Mr Obama was a freshman at Occidental College, it's always been the case too. Sporting and completely owning a wide-brimmed Panama and puffing away on a fag, the dude was seriously untouchable.
Today marks the opening of an exhibition showcasing 21 of the 36 photos taken from this series at West Hollywood's M+B Gallery. The images will be on display until 18th July.
