New York City's own bass heavy club music champions, the Trouble and Bass crew, deliver the goods on this latest installment of the Scion CD Sampler series.
"Acid Jacks - Crazy Legs! : Acid Jacks lives up to his moniker on this track without question. Straight up house and acid, no chaser. A very accessible dancefloor track certain to please House devotees, Electro fans, & even possibly some kid's aunt who's never heard a club track. 126BPM
Udachi - Jellyroll : Udachi is becoming a force to be reckoned with. This track is one example. It's one of his more half-time, Dub-steppy outings without question, but one gets the feeling Udachi would probably kill a track in any heavy synth bass sub-genre. The track is rife with "oh snap!" moments on the bass synth trickery alone, but you need look no further than the first 45 seconds of the track to know... this guy actually listens to and understands original Dub music. 127BPM
AC Slater - Calm Down : With a handful of nods to the almighty drum and bass genre, AC Slater delivers a seriously heavy exercise in Dubstep pugilism. Leaving the downbeat open on most measures (which AC does to great effect in this piece) is highly recommended to seekers of the funk. Manly vocals are doubleplusgood. 139/69.5BPM" via LA Friendly
